Support Diabetes Awareness in the Northwest and Around the Globe
We are joining the United Nations, International Diabetes Foundation, World Heath Organization and other members of the global diabetes community to celebrate the U.N.-observed World Diabetes Day on Nov. 14 and raise awareness throughout November. Help educate your community by spreading the word about type 1 diabetes and supporting a fun event benefiting JDRF Northwest!
How you can help:
-
Learn more about type 1 diabetes, then share this information with your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and community members.
-
Please sign a petition asking Google to commemorate World Diabetes Day on their website Nov. 14.
-
Wear the Unite for Diabetes pin, which incorporates the blue circle - the global symbol for diabetes. All proceeds from sales of the pins support the International Diabetes Federation “Life for a Child Program,” which helps children with diabetes in developing countries gain access to the healthcare necessary to survive.
-
Join us for an evening of fun and pampering at the Nov. 21 Dapper Baby Mom's Night Out for JDRF Northwest at the Bellevue Westin Hotel! Proceeds support JDRF-funded research aimed at a cure.
