Its team of world-renowned scientists is focused on identifying
causes and cures for devastating diseases including diabetes. Seattle-based
BRI is also a JDRF Center for Translational Research. In December 2007, BRI received a $9.4 million grant from JDRF to study the causes, and discover remedies, for autoimmune diabetes.
